East coast revisited
I dont know what it is about the East coast that keeps drawing me back, maybe it's the wildness of the North sea that even on a calm summers day likes to throw up white foam and waves that any Cornish surfer would be proud of. I have travelled across and down the length of this stretch of water many times and never once has it been like the preverbial mill pond, this sea has an attitude and maybe thats what keeps drawing me back.
The following photographs where taken between Redcar and Whitby a beautifull stretch of coast it is just a pity I did not have a decent camera setup with me, still I am happy with some of the shots from the old Nikon 4500.
Untill the next time, stay well.

Day Tripper
The following photographs were taken over the course of a few weeks and I have just got around to putting them onto the computer for assesment, they were taken using the old Nikon coolpix 4500, a camera which was given to me and one that seems to get used more often than my (serious) photo gear, probably because it fits in my pocket and I don't have to carry a tripod. The first photo is of Morcambe Bay taken on a day trip several weeks ago, the other 2 are of Stanley dock in Liverpool. Untill the next time, stay well.

Liverpool
Just a few things that caught my eye whilst waiting for my wife and sister on a shoping trip to Liverpool.
Derby st and London Rd area, how this place has changed from being a bustling area of trade to delapitated old Victorian builings that once stood proud, what a shame that these beautiful old places of trade will probably be replaced by some concrete monstrocity the next time I visit.
Aptly placed, the old Echo seller looked like he may fall asleep at any minute.

Nikon Coolpix 4500
The following photographs were taken on a Nikon coolpix 4500 which was one of two given to me by a friend who found he had no further use for them as they are only 4 megapixel, being a lover of anything free especially camera's how could I refuse such a wonderfull offer, so after lying in the bottom of a drawer for a couple of months (not me, the camera) I thought that I really should try out this rather odd looking camera, too say I was surprised by the results would be understated, I was amazed, OK so the images will never make more than 10x8 prints of a decent standard but if I want massive prints then I will use my mamiya 6x7. if anyone does get around to viewing this, then let me know what you think, cheers for now.
All of the images have had some rework in Lightroom but no more than a couple of miutes on each.

Puppy Walking
This last Sunday morning I awoke to glorious sunshine there was still a chill in the air but not enough to dissuade me from venturing out with the camera, so location quickly planed a quick check on battery condition and 28-100mm lens chosen I was all ready for the off, just at this point our new puppy decided that it would like to join me, knowing there would be no way that I could take photo's and watch the pup at the same time I decided to invite my wife along, this was at 10:15, agreeing that the walk would give us an appetite for lunch she agreed to come, at 11:45 we finally set off. Arriving at a different location than I had planed we parked the car and set off on our walk, the pathway with woodland either side used to be the main entrance and driveway from Chester to the Duke of Westminster's estate, this ceased to be te case many years ago when the Chester southerly bypass cut the driveway in half, still it's a good mile and a half walk either way and venturing of the path on to the many little tracks that lead into the woods can offer many photo opportunities at the right time of year, I did get a few pictures but not as many as I would have liked, my wife was right about the appetite though and I later ate a hearty lunch and had the compulsory nap afterwards. Below are a few of the images which I think captured te clarity of light present on that day. Stay well all.
