A trip up to the lake District this last bank holiday saw us hurtling up the motor way in torrential rain hoping that the weather on arrival would be sunny as forecast, and to give the man from the met office his fair due, it was. we spent a nice couple of hours taking in the scenery of the south lake district before heading to Blackpool for an overnight stop to visit friends and family.
